Hope the manufacturer will replace this unit with one that doesn’t leak I was loving this coffee maker until it started leaking a lot of water during each brew from the back of the unit. I have just contacted the manufacturer to see if they will send a replacement. Hope they respond asap as I don’t want to lose my faith in this product. [Update] Well, the reseller responded, in my opinion, unsatisfactory. I was expecting after pay about 60 bucks for this 5 cup coffee maker that they would replace the product since I’ve had it less than 6 months before it started leaking. They did not do this so I’m not recommending this product to anyone and especially discourage anyone from ordering from this seller on Amazon. Very disappointed!

Glad I Bought It I really like this coffee maker. I’m the only coffee drinker in the house, so I don’t need 12-cup capacity. I like how the water container lifts out of the unit so it can be easily filled at the sink, and then reinserted without spilling. I use cone filters, and the provided coffee scoop. It’s also easy to clean. The top comes off easily, and the pot has a wide-enough opening to get my big, old hand into for washing out. I don’t put this in the dishwasher, so I don’t know how that would go. However, unless you totally remove the grounds holder, pour your cup slowly. Yeah, it’s made in Japan, but at least it’s not made in China. (I’m not sure that any coffeemaker is stil made in the USA.)
